HIEROGLYPHIC CHART

This chart shows the matching of Hieroglyphic forms to our letter/word sounds. NOTE: the Hieroglyphic character for our letters "i" and "e", "f" and "v" and "c" and "d" and "L" and "r" are the SAME with the exception of capitals-sometimes. Notice too, the double character for the "y" lower case.

Whew! A smaller practice makes remembering the placement of the characters a bit easier. I'm sure you'll be happy designing your own sentences. Actually, this very example was part of our exam at the end of the semester. Hope you enjoy working out the translation! And thanks to a very alert reader, errors were discovered.
