Anyone who has had their picture taken, knows how often the camera does not justify the image, and this photo is an example. It does not capture well enough, the detailed complexity of the students' work--triple wall designs (each wing and body length), and the 3 levels of shapes over and under each other. It does not reflect the linear delicacy of the original design in which all parabolas, double layers and walls were executed with very fine crochet thread (#20) instead of carpet warp. It is truly a lovely work of art, and a "first-time" experience for the student. It remains one of my very favorites.
