That excellent details can be rendered in this technique is amply demonstrated here. The large drawing is a wonderful surrealistic composite. Her drawing layer blended cool and warm hues in an imaginative dream. On the left, blues and greens move from the background window to the sleeping figure in the front. Many images contribute to the fantasy--a ballet dancer, violinist, piano playing hands, the background figure, bird on a shoulder, arms and hands playing a flute and the majestic hall filled with people--all wrapped in warm tones from the center to the right. This is one of my favorite color etchings.
