Invented and natural textures characterize the above realistic ink drawings on white and manila color backgrounds. Visual textures, linear and crosshatching and tonal values are used in different ways.

Nature sure provides excellent study material!

textured geometric buildings

These 3 landscapes run the gamut of art style: strong dry brush textured abstraction; delicate GESTURE and line textured tree, and ink pattern-textured geometic buildings. Each has unique techniques, lots of expression and interpretation!

And of course, there's always the love of texture for texture's sake, as in these drawings. One's design can involve the enjoyment of specific "arrangement" where designated textures form enclaves of design and wrap around others or set a stage for larger shapes and contrast with them. Or, one can take an aerial view and map a terrain of pointillistic and linear distinctions which flow and change. No matter what style, the individual's personal input makes a mark of its own.

That's what makes each of so special.
