Everyone who designs a complex curve can do so endlessly. Each movement change with bends, crossovers, up and down, right and left directions provides an infinity of fresh, light configurations from design to design. The left complex curve has 3 loops and over 300 points. Looking at the drawing alone, one should be able to study the form and discover its basic linear composition. However, overlapped lines does make this somewhat obscure. See it sketched in red over the completed design. Some points to remember in designing one of your own: (1) make it large, (2) vary the loop directions, (3) do not have loops directly underneath each other, (4) flow the curve in smooth contours varying segment lengths and widths, and (5) have points a maximum of 1/8" drawing them just dark enough to be seen.
