Wet Colored Pencils--Applications 2

Soaring with bright colors, this drawing combines a dry patterned background and dry and liquified wet blends in the bird.

The bird has several base layers and dry, overlapping darker ones applied after painting.

Most students elected to combine dry and wet pencils in their compositions. However, the left and right examples are soluble washes throughout the design. The center drawing is a wash background and combined layers of wet painted petals with dry added contrasts.
