CRITERIA EXPECTATIONS
With Advanced Art classes, a unit may contain single or multiple parts with specific aspects to be explored. Each of these would receive some kind of acknowledgement.
Students are always offered opportunities to re-do assignments or extra credit related to the unit. Generally speaking, most advanced students at 3rd and 4th levels seldom receive grades lower than B-/C+. Here, most are very serious about their work and take great pride in what they accomplish. (Ah, the joy of personal development!)
Art 4 students work on individual needs and portfolios most of the year. Grades are not usually "posted" as critique is a daily, ongoing occurrence. Paging through their work from their Syllabus you will see some wonderful examples of excellence. |
