Line + Texture is Like Milk and Cookies

All classes from Introductory to Advanced 4 levels have "foundations" reviews at the beginning of each academic year.

Principles and Elements of art are reinforced in single or multi-media with small 9"X12" and 12"X18" formats. Sometimes these lead to large summaries where those elements become dominant concerns in the finished work.

Here are some 2nd level reviews, part of a series of design fundamentals that were studied in different ways.

12X 18" Watercolor, ink, foil, and cork make line and textured buildings

Thick yarn overlaps sponged paint and textured origami paper. 9"X12"

Interval orange rings, white sponged paint with black string over all. 9"X12"

Thick and thin ink line, pastel twists under matched yarn. 9"X12"

This aspect concludes with Applications 2. Please see the "Foundations" directory for other art elements and principles.
