It's always exciting to see the various solutions individual students offer. It was obvious that certain methods were very popular--like sponge painted textures, collages, mixed media and and "closed line" in addition to open linear design. Of course, that approximates "shape", but the requirements were observed.

Reviewing art elements and principles each year is important as a focus on composition design and purpose and in building a well defined vocabulary as students assess their own work at evaluation time.

We move on to other principles and elements with BALANCE in case you'd like to continue in this vein.
