OTHER METHODS--DO THINK OF MORE!

These tissue samples are offered as suggestions which hopefully can lead to new ones. Many possibilities are just awaiting the energies of those who attempt them.

4. AS BACKGROUND. Here tissue shapes are UNDER the other planned line and shape designs. The foreground is designed first, and opaque/transparent underlays coordinate with it.

5. AS FOREGROUND. This is the reverse of #4. The overall design is planned first as background. Foreground transparent shapes can be flat or 3D. Note the "pierced" look of the red/purple rectangles.

6. COMBINATIONS. Here, flat and 3D crushed tissue are applied. Drawings occur over as well as under each other. Thin construction paper weaves in-between, over and under the tissue applications.

Demo Sample

This 6"X9" demo was to show linear patterns, contrasting line design, flat and 3D tissue application, over and under line and construction paper application, and tissue paper as background and foreground shapes.

The demo sample was intended to show how a variety of applications could be effected. All would not be required to be executed simultaneously. Always, students would hopefully be inspired to do "what if's" with these simple materials themselves and come up with their own personal interpretations.
