 Again, learning to use various sizes of points was achieved by upper and lower case words, single, double and triple vertical line spacing, adjusting pen size to area, and drawing italic, condensed and extended forms. Pen sizes used were No. 1, 2 and 4 and these are pretty easy to identify--even without numbers printed over the words. Can you see the differences? |

HOW ABOUT POSTER CALLIGRAPHY?Yes, Poster lettering is only one thickness, and calligraphy isn't. But, what if we put Poster pens and Script pens together? Using a No. 4 or 5 Poster point with a straight pen to add some "flourishes" (decorative line extensions) works just fine and might look something like this............... |
