The joy of learning to use Roman pen points is to use them with other "thick and thin" letter forms. One of these universal favorites is called CHANCERY, a style noted for its lithe stem and crossbar curves. Chancery is a letter that is taller than it is wide and italic (slanted).The Speedball textbook states that lowercase letters should be 5 pen widths of the pen you are using, and uppercase should be 7.
