WHAT'S IN A NAME?Lots! Let's begin with displaying the style which most characterizes the image we have of ourselves; seeing that special identity carefully executed in forceful or fluid form rhythmically across a page; the pride that labels as the creator, the showcard work assembled and displayed. With this is mind, students selected the style of font that best represented them, did several arrangements, sketched a final plan on newsprint, then transferred the design with the proper pen tool to a 3" X 11 1/2" inking paper. Since actual student identities will not be displayed, the sample styles listed below are fictitious names in various fonts and arrangements. Any similarity to actual names is purely accidental. Students were encouraged to honor the integrity of a selected style, be very creative with it, or design their own. |
