It's always interesting to see how various students "interpret" meaning. It was understood "words" were to be a very important element in the work and each did so in different ways. These two were very well done. Both were very large art boards, both were collages yet employed different background media.
Spattered white rays are overlapped with tissue collages. Roman brush lettering follow the edges and directions of the rays.
A brayered background adds a textural quality in contrast to the smooth paint and tissue collage. Script, Roman and open Roman defined the shapes.
